Bluebird Tutus is a small business based in Milngavie, Glasgow. I trained in Fine Arts (Printmaking, Drawing and Painting) in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa and later in Set and Costume Design, Costume Construction and Scenic Art at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now Royal Conservatoire Scotland) in Glasgow.

I had always wanted to know how to construct a Classical Tutu, but it appeared very difficult to find maker willing to share their hard earned knowledge! Finally I learnt from ROH  Tutu maker Amanda Hall, who now teaches Tutu Making on the Royal Opera House Costume Construction Course at South Essex College. Since then I have worked hard at developing my skills and applying my knowledge and love of Design to each of my creations.

I have made Tutus for many aspiring little Ballerinas for Festivals,  for Dance Students and also for Professionals.
